Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Grant

Couch Elementary School has been selected to participate in the Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Grant (FFVG) for the 2018-2019 school year.  The FFVG is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is administrated by the Missouri Department of Education.

A fresh fruit or vegetable snack will be provided for all elementary students in the afternoon.  The main goal of FFVG is to increase the fruit and vegetable consumption of elementary school children. In addition to providing fresh fruits and vegetables, another goal of this program is to provide nutrition education to the children.
